Contra Dancing at BLC!

 

We are very excited partner with Bayside Travellers to bring contra to BLC!

Bayside Travellers is a wonderful nonprofit organization that promotes traditional folk music and dance, and they will be hosting contra dances here at BLC.

Contra is a type of traditional folk dance. Bayside's dances always feature live music by local folk artists and bands. No partner or experience is needed to attend - they hold beginner lessons at the beginning of the night to teach you everything needed. Individuals, couples, and groups are all welcome!

Dances are open to all BLC church members as well as anyone in the community who is interested. You are welcome to come dance, watch, or listen to the beautiful music.

Dance By Donation

$10-20 / person suggested. Bayside Travellers is a nonprofit organization, and donations are what make dances possible. Thank you for supporting traditional folk music and dance!

Bayside Travellers is currently on Summer Break.

Dances will resume on Saturday, October 11th, and will continue on the second Saturday of each month through June 2026. More information about these dances will be available soon.
