Stewardship Committee
Committee function
This committee’s function is to evoke and promote the expression of Christian faith in daily living, to teach the Christian use of time, talents, and money, to inform the congregation of its local, national and world-wide ministries. The committee is directed to lead all members of BLC to higher levels of proportionate giving of time, talent, and money for the Lord’s work. The committee shall conduct a stewardship emphasis which leads to informed and grateful giving. The treasurer and financial secretary shall be ex-officio members of this committee.

Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in its Various forms 1 Peter 4:10

Basic assumptions about Stewardship include:
1. Giving is rooted in the very heart and nature of God
2. The giver has a need to give.
3. Gratitude.
4. Stewardship is discipleship& mission -whole life maagement.
5. Spiritual health is linked to stewardship pratice.
6. Changes in the world and in culture affect giving.
7. When God gives a vision for ministry, stewardship is the means for accomplishing it.
