Dear Members of Bethlehem:

I Corinthians 12:27 "Now you are the body of Christ and individually members of it."

Bethlehem has experienced an exciting time; a time of beginnings. Rally Day and the Ministry Fair highlighted the many opportunities for you to belong and to share your God-given talents. One remark I overheard was that there were at least 80 groups/activities. What a menu from which to be able to choose! And, if there isn’t something here already and you have a new idea—share it with a council member or myself.

Worship Service; Worship Servant—assisting minister, lector, altar guild, welcome table greeter, hospitality, bell ringer, counter, choir, bell choir, guitar group; Sunday School--teacher or student; Community Meals Server; Safe Harbor, Landscaping, Prayer Shawl knitting, Prayer Chain prayer, Ladies Sewing/Quilting, Men’s property care group; Confirmation; youth activities, Council, Women of the ELCA, Ruth, Anna/Rebecca, and Sarah Circles; Committees: Christian Caregiving, Christian Education, Evangelism, Finance, Fellowship, Membership, Personnel, Property, Social Ministry, Stewardship, Worship & Music, Youth, Audit, Endowment, Long Range Planning and Nominating; Small Groups; Bridge group; Book/Supper Group; Global Missions; LSSM.

There is a place in Bethlehem for you; a place to rest and a place to be vibrant; a place to help others and to be helped, a place to be accepted and to accept others. You are the body (and hands & feet) of Christ and called to share His love. You are "Blessed to be a Blessing."
