Message from our Pastors
A Bright Spot brought to you from Bethlehem
With tears in his eyes, the little boy told his kindergarten teacher that only one pair of galoshes was left in the cloakroom and they weren't his. The teacher searched under the desks and in corners and could find no other pair. Exhausted she asked the boy, "How can you be sure these galoshes aren't yours?" "Mine had snow on them," the little boy replied.
Just when we get our lives properly organized, things change: the children grow up; some move back; our job transfers us to a place miles away. Just when we are enjoying business as usual, business becomes unusual. What can we do about this continual series of changes? First, recognize that change is a normal part of every life. Be flexible. Learn to act and react with it rather than
against it. Second, recognize that many changes which look negative at first glance will be seen as positive at second glance. Your galoshes may be more comfortable without snow than with snow.
As you look back over the days given to us in 2006, rejoice and give thanks in all things, as St Paul reminds us. May you experi- ence all of God's blessings in the days ahead.
With Joy in being your pastors,
Jim and Jean Vargo
P.S. Come to Bethlehem and worship with us. It could be the bright spot in your week!
