Greetings from Greeneville, TN!

The BLC youth are having a great week working on the home of a very deserving single mother of three. Our jobs have included installing a new door, constructing a handicap accessible ramp, pouring concrete and tearing down an unused and rotting home addition. It's been a lot of hard work, but our youth are awesome and have completed every task with a smile.

We are also enjoying learning about Appalachia and the surrounding community of Greeneville.

A couple fun facts about the town:
-President Andrew Johnson was born and raised here.
-The Band Perry is from here and grew up down the street from the house we are working on (the youth were much more excited about this fact than the Andrew Johnson fact)! :)
-There is a church in downtown that still has a Civil War cannon ball stuck in the wall.
